FAQ
Have a question? We may have it answered already. Some of the FAQs here also help explain what we're all about.
We have handbooks, TACSOPs, buyer’s guides and rule posts that would tell you. When in doubt ask us. We’d rather you ask then show up with the wrong equipment or Farb for the era we are portraying.
It depends on the era and type of event. Some of the events we have run non-stop for multiple days. We prefer military camping gear for all of our events but for modern events, modern camping gear would suffice. For a Vietnam or World War 2 event, some if not most camping gear would be “farb” if it doesn’t fit the era. For our main Vietnam event, we provide era tentage for the GIs.
Farb is a term heavily used in the reenacting community. We are striving to achieve levels that reenactors portray. In fact some of the staff have equipment that would make a seasoned reenactor jealous. Basically it is a reference to participants who are perceived to exhibit indifference to historical authenticity, either by using incorrect materials or acting out of character.
There’s no end all be all place to buy equipment. Part of the fun is researching and shopping around for gear. Ebay and several reenacting websites are best. There are also many facebook groups that sell gear at great prices. We love the hobby and are always willing to work with interested participants, if in doubt ask us.
Yes! Bring it. We also offer discounted rates based on what you are bringing and if it will help the immersion of the event. Let the staff know and we can figure out the logistics.
Typically we allow you to get a refund a month before the event. We will be charging a $5 admin fee per refund. We are pretty reasonable, best thing to do is contact us through Facebook or email if you need to cancel.
